Special Guest DJs

Brooke Filsinger
Brooke FilsingerFrom crisscrossing North America to some recent European hops, Brooke’s been sprinkling the Canadian musics wherever her dj travels take her, but her heart belongs to Toronto, the place she calls home. Be it late-nite house parties, exchanges, swing clubs, or competitions, Brooke’s always spinning full-bodied ‘scrumpditiliumptious’ music, the kind that you can really sink your teeth into. Swing standards, blues, funk, and soul – you’ll get that stuff that keeps you dancing all night long!

Gabrielle Kern
Gabrielle KernWhether it’s Blues, Lindy Hop, or Collegiate Shag, Gabrielle loves playing music that gets dancers out on the floor and keeps them there! Her passion is music that moves you, be it blues, classic swing, vintage-style jazz, or more soulful funky tunes. Be careful, her music will often inspire you to dance long after your feet would have called it a night.

Joe Lin
Joe’s love of music from vintage jazz and traditional blues to R&B and funk has led him to DJ at exchanges and workshop weekends in Waterloo, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. He is always on the lookout for obscure jazz tunes to inspire dancers, but he is best known for his delicious late-night sets that will have you wondering how the sun snuck up on you.

Jukin’ Jules Nerestant

He has taken a liking to the word “Jukin,” reffering to the style of movement his favored music evokes. From hair-raising harmonica sounds to soul-tearing vocals, to electrifying slide guitar and back, Jukin’ Jules will make you do three very distinc things: shiver, boggie, sweat.

Repeat as necessary.

Randy Pante
I like pie, I like cake,
I like everything you bake,
And I like some crackers, too,
Crumbled up in a stew.
When I see a jelly roll,
I lose all my self-control.
But of all these things I like you best of all.
